Scratched! Need to get it repaired.

Got a call from the G/F yesterday evening to tell me that theres a scratch on the clio! Gutted! Its about 2.5 inches long just behind the passenger door on the rear panel.

What do you guys think of Chips away? Anyone used them and any info good or bad? Dont want to loose my car for a couple of days if I can help it.



Its black gold am I better off going to a proper bodyshop?

ive used them for a dent, seemed an ok job, I could still see it though, mind no one else would have been able to. (thats not the point though)

they have done a good job on friends cars. It will be a difficult colour to get right.



how did it happen do you know? and is it deep?

My G/F notcied it when she came back for the weekly shop, it could have happened at any point during the day to be honest.

It isnt down to the metal deep but is defintley below the black/gold paint as you can see the white base paint. Chips Away are coming to take a look on friday at my work so will get a price then if they can do it.

Lesson learned - never let your GF take your 182 on a shopping trip! Dont think Id let any chip repair companies bodge the paint on a black 182 with those nice gold flakes through it!
