Screwed

Car  Megane 225
Think this is repairable?

Noticed it looked a little flat today, then noticed the big screw. Checked after work to find it at 4psi :D

How much are Exalto's?

A decent place could repair that mate, but for performance you're better off repairing the tyre.

The last time I went to have a tyre repaired they told me I oculdn't because it had been repaired a dangerous amount of times previous! Eeek!

True, being in the middle it'll probably be fine. After seeing my last tyre that couldn't be repaired, I'm always a bit weary!

I nearly always go to Kwik Fit, granted their tyres can be more expensive than some other places, but with the branch near us I can 'guarantee' they will do a sopt on job.
I had a similar problem with a screw when I had my 1.4 Clio, they just removed the screw, made the hole slightly bigger, cleaned the inside of the tyre and the hole, then plugged it with a solid rubber plug, did all the powder dusting and stuff, job done! I never had any problems with it after that.
You really shouldn't expect to pay more than £10-£15 for a repair like that.

Thanks.

Well I popped into my local tyre 'specialist' and they confirmed all I've been told. So I was going to let them repair it and wait 30 mins, until I saw the muppet open my door straight into the bike parked next to it.

I took the keys and left...

I'll probably try Kwik Fit in the week, as the weather's just too nice today!

Aye thats easy repairable, same happened to me week after buying car new!!! Kwik Fit reapaired it no problem and the offending tyres did about 3 trackdays no problem (on front and rear)

They do any damage to your door!?!

I know it's a lot to ask to get someone looking after your car who actually respects it, but you'd think that people who work in garages would know a fairly rare, looked after car when they see one! Gimps.

Small chip on the edge, which I can touch up. Not huge damage but it just shows how little these people care. TBH the only reason I was forced to go there is because the guys at the Renault service desk go home at 1 on Saturday. :(

I'm just glad I made the quick decision to grab the keys and leave - satisfying.
