In 2011, the World Rally Championship saw the introduction of the new generation of World Rally Cars. This lecture will cover the main engineering problems, solutions and compromises that were seen in the process as well as general aspects of vehicle engineering.

Following this, a brief insight will be given to the Fiesta WRC on event, looking at the background engineering that goes into keeping the car running and ensuring it remains competitive and reliable.
