Seat belt light/sound

I've sat in a few clios where the driver hasn't put his/her seat belt on, (i know!!!) but the thing is, there is a constant beep for a few seconds to warn them to put it on.

But in my car, it doesn't do this, is my car meant to?... its a Mk2 Ph2 1.2 16v 51 plate. Dynamique.

happens in mine, surely it should happen in the rest of the ph2's at least, its a safety precaution!

Think it should happen in all of them - it's part of the NCAP ratings thingy.

Happens in the 172 cup, doesn't do it in mine though.

In my new shape clio the seat belt beep gets louder and louder the longer you leave it off, unlike in my previous 54 plate clio which just stopped after a while.

My 51 dynamique didn't beep but light up on the dash. Must just be the newer ones that beep.
