Seat covers - can they be fit

Okay I want to fit some seat covers to the Clio but it has side airbags. Mate of mine says that you can fit the covers if they are tight because the airbag will just tear through. My understanding was always that you couldnt fit seat covers to cars with side airbags.

Anyone know for sure? Also if yes anyone know where I can get some good covers that will fit well?

I want to fit the covers I just need to know whether theyll be dangerous.

it says on the boxes of the seat covers in motorworld "Do Not Fit These If You Have Side Airbags In The Seats"

So i would say no.

yeah i could do with a front seat cover too for when i go to work and back while im wearing my work clothes, but also have the side airbags problem.

Perhaps i could cut a hole in the side of the cover, for if the airbag ever goes off?

Maybe you should get some new kids instead of seat covers. Get kids that dont mess up the car.
