Seat not tilting

passenger seat on me car(mk2 172) has stopped tilting forward ,the catch on the back of the seat moves but just isnt releasing to tilt ,anyone ever had this happen to them before & if so what was the result ??

i reckon this thing has been tilted about 20 times max since i have had it from new

The cables come off. Its a common problem under warently.

Yep, mine has done it twice now, renault have got the parts coming to fix it.

Well last time they said all the seat had to come out! So it was an all day job. This time they have the parts coming over from France I guess, im waiting 3 weeks for them.

Ive got sooo pissed of with mine that when it happens now i just tilt it forward a bit, then it releases
