Seatbelt Pretensioner Discolouration

This is incredibly sad but has anyone managed to sort the colour on their seatbelt tensioner.

Mine are currently pink and faded. I wouldn’t mind trying to bring the colour out in them and bringing them up back to red.

What’s the best way of going about this? I’ve tried a bit of heat but it didn’t do much.

Would Gtechniq C4 trim restorer do it? I know it works on black trim better than heat but not sure if it’s as effective on red

I’ve just run out of my little bottle of C4 Trim restorer. That was my first thought tbh.
Might just order a new bottle and try again.

No joke, i’m sure someone years ago just used a red sharpie, worked really well.

Red sharpie or remove and spray them. Heatgun is temporary, paint is forever.

Just be careful, the heatgun only works with some buckles. Tried it on my mrs C1 and melted the plastic

Might still be able to get new from ren. They look like they are a few quid but not horrendously expensive.

I like Gtechniq C4 on black plastics but I tried it on mine and it did nothing!

This title got me really confused - Pretensioner is the mechanism under the seat that pull the belt tight in an ancient, that's just the seatbelt buckle.
