Haven’t done much to it recently, and I’ve honestly been fed up with it to the point I’ve pondered selling up. It never seems to work for long before something else breaks and stops it in its tracks.
Not long after replacing the starter and starting to enjoy it again, the alternator went. New OE ones are ridiculously priced and you really need to replace the aux belt and tensioner at the same time as you do them, so finding a reasonably priced pattern one and getting it fixed was a pain and still cost the thick end of £500.
After getting that done, the washer bottle started leaking and now doesn’t hold fluid at all, leaking it into the passenger wheel well.
I’m back to focusing fixing that and taking on the other smaller jobs before working out what I want to invest in the big restoration bits in the future. I won’t do that this year now, decided to buy a Caterham so I’m putting this year’s Clio budget into that instead.
