Seatbelts Need A Good Clean! .. Help?

As you know the seatbelts in the 182's are a light grey/ silver colour, well the ones in my car have nice brown dirt marks all over them! .. I've tried multipurpose cleaners on them but the marks just don't seem to budge, any one got any good tips on getting them nice and clean?

I've heard that they can be cleaned with washing up liquid, never done it personally, but if you take them off and wash them like you would an item of clothing, by hand, they're supposed to come up lovely.

Not sure if they can go in the washing machine... wouldn't like to say!

Pull them out as far as they will go, but a bit of string through the buckle and get a friend to hold the belt taught. Shut the door and away you go! Good as new.

Fair play mate, sounds cowboy, think ill be taking mine off to clean them!

I thought so too, but I did a search on here and apparently lots of people have done it. Doesn't take many seconds and there has been no visible damage to the seat belts. Tough bits of kit I reckon.
