Second hand cat cams

If I bought some, say 428s. How can you tell they really are 428s and not just some standard cams?

Are there any markings on them?

im sure the renault cams have the lobes pressed on to the cam but cat cams machine theres from a solid peice of billet, tho i could be talking bollox and i cant be arsed to go look through the oil cap on my car

there's a long number engraved on them, the last 3 digits are what you need to look at, then in or ex for which one it is
