Just wondering if there is any other recommended places that are worth taking a look at? (not eBay)

Its not a bad idea checking local high street style independant shops as they sometimes have used equipment.

Think you already check, but the various photography forums have a high turnover of equipment, quite a few bargains to be had. Not used Photography-on-the.net for a while, but Talk Photography has a big for sale section.

I've been using MPB for a while I think Chris posted it up a while back.

Yup MPB are fantastic, all my big purchases have come from there and I can't fault them. Also traded a few lens with them and have had no problems at all.

The only other place I use is Talk Photography, use a bit of common sense (buy from regulars, check their previous posts etc) and there is very little chance of a bad experience

I'll check the forums. I was just amazed to see a D90 for a little over £500! Bargain!! So won't be waiting as long as I thought before I upgrade!
