Second key...

Guys,
I bought a 02 172 about 2 weeks ago now and only had 1 key when I bought it, they seller said he only had the 1 when he bought it....

How much is it for me to get the 2nd key?

prices vary but my dealer wants £80 for the key and £40 to code it; £120 all in

If your planning a trip to france, get one from a dealers there, it will propbably work out cheaper.

renalut quoted me £152 inc vat, that was until the dealer sent me the spare key 3 months later after finally tracking it down to a deallers 120 miles from when the car was traded in!! bloody arnold clark.

^^^ Or just get one of those round silver disc dog tags and have your telephone number engraved on it .

If they can be bothered to contact boomerang then they'll probably contact you on your phone number , and it's free

Check out the link it explains it all , basically your keys are insured lose them and they replace them, theres a tag they give you that offers a reward of £10 to the person who finds them so i guess they expect the majority of peoples keys to be returned

The 1 and only 1 that I have doesn't work 100% when unlocking/locking the doors.

Sometimes i press the fob and the light doesn't come on (on the fob) and other times it does?

Took the battery out and tested and its ok......
