Selecting multiple files on a mac????

Easy to do on a PC why can't I do it on my mac?? I'm not holding the shift button and clicking on 70 bleeding files, just so I can drag them to another folder!!!

I also don't want to select all of the files - that's easy.

Anybody know?????????????

Erm?

How is it "easy to do on a PC"?
Tell me your process and I'll tell you if it's the same in Finder. :)

  A blue one.
Erm indeed.

Replace "Ctrl Key" with "Apple Key" and you're all set.

Apple+A selects all files.

Holding down apple and clicking on files adds them to the selection, works with a mouse swipe too.

I mean by: If I'm using a pc I click on one file and then hold ctrl and then select say another file, 20 files on, then all the files between the first file and the twentieth are selected. But on my mac if press ctrl it brings up a window as if I was right clicking on a mouse. If i hold the apple button it has the same effect as holding the shift key, so that means to select, say 20 files in one go I have to hold the shift key down and then click on each file individually. Fine if it's only 10 files, not so when it's 200!! Anyone?

Place the finder icons into list mode and shift click, it'll allow you to select as you would using Windows. The Apple key lets you select individual files.

I shall try this tonight Sneeks. Thank you V. much. And whoops I meant hold shift down on a PC.

I have just also found out from a colleague if put your mouse pointer just by the first file you want to select then click and drag a box appears, so you then can drag that box over all the files you want to highlight.
