boss came shooting in, didnt realise i had posted that. oops! newayyyyyyyy.....

my car is up for sale in the autotrader (just bought a 172), but ive had a few companies call me sayin that if i pay them a reg. fee of £80 then they can pretty much guarantee thh sale of my car within the next 7 days or i get a free w/end break or sommit like that. is this for real? or just a scam??

its all aload of crap, canvassers, ull get lots of calls like that, tell them 2 fcuk rite off and dont give out ur details 2 them either

should have put "no agencies" in ad!

"autotrader is the dogs" - even e-bay cant beat it for genuine buyers

I have bought and sold half a dozens cars from there

sold my 19RSi in 3 hours on Autotrader - cash in 5 hours for more than double the trade-in offered by Reno!

Its a massive SCAM - £80 and you get nothing.

thanks a lot guys. im new to this whole selling cars stuff. thought it was a bit weird that i have had 2 or 3 different companies contact me offering me the same sort of thing, saying they will get me full market value for my car etc etc. next time ill just say the car is sold!

Thats how they work ad172, they pester you till you sign up, then make off with your cash.

Look at letters for April -> August theres also some advice on there on how to get your money back etc. They always say "No Refunds" as well. Total Con Artists.

As for signing up, never sign up to anything if someone Phones You, its a GOLDEN RULE, but works very well for me.
