Selling to scotland?

Hi,

Just after a bit of advice, I have my MK1 clio for sale and have placed the advert on friday ads yesterday, i have had a enquiry today from someone in scotland, and being the paraniod person I am i dont see why someone would travel from scotland to peterborough for a £400 car, so just checking before I respond to him anyone heard of any scams or anything involving someone who pretends to be in scotland and saying they well sort shipping?

I flew to ireland to buy a car with out seeing it, i bought my 182 in wales. Then i sold my C2 to someone in scotland. I may be lucky in having really genuine people that i delt with.

And i have not got a problem at all with scots, plently of mates that are, more the fact the guy said he would sort 'shipping' to scotland and the fact his e mail address was in sweden.

I went down south to pick up the hybrid, would have been about a 500 mile round trip but I took the train down. Not uncommon at all, even for what you might think of as an old shitter tbh, but from what you said about the guy arranging shipping and having an address in sweden I would steer well clear. Only sell it if someone comes to collect it and give you cash in your hand.
