Sent Messages and MS Outlook help

is it possible that when you send an email from outlook the sent message gets stored/saved on the server?

a bit like when you download emails from your host to your outlook you have the option to leave them on the server. can you do something similar with sent messages?

Depends whether you're using exchange to access work emails or something like hotmail, gmail, etc

this isnt work emails, this is my personal emails

Which email provider? 99% of them save messages on the server.

im with bt

received messages are there but if i go into sent nothing.

they are on my outlook sent item but now when i actually log onto my bt email account

I have the same issue with my hotmail, gmail and work mails, can't see sent messages or if i've replied, from different terminals

Try connecting with IMAP (if supported) and make sure the option to 'save a copy on the server' is checked

You might have to do this via a custom rule: http://kb.mit.edu/confluence/displa...indows+-+Save+Sent+Messages+in+an+IMAP+Folder

However with Gmail this should be automatic so you shouldn't need to bother on that account danny
