[Sep 12, 2015] Forge Action Day (Castle Combe)

  Clio 172, Escort RST
The car has been cleaned :). Just a vac inside is required. If I get some time I may even give it a quick polish all over.

I won't be able to come now guys. A bit gutted as there's LOADS of people I know going to this one. :-(

But I've been offered a lot of money to work for a mate so money wins I'm afraid.

Have a great day all.

No just first thing when it was damp, breaks went a little spongy when hot so bailed out

Where did you get your mount for gauges looked smart!

The gauges I hid with a rag when I left the car as I've not had chance to finish it yet so looks a bit bodged but it's just an eBay one real cheap. I cut it all down though as sat too high on the dash but fits well in that little tray on top of dash. Will look better once I fit an afr gauge next to the boost. Was its first proper trip out since I've done all the work and went quite well in the end. Mite do my intercooler black like yours as couldn't even tell you're had it in their till I looked properly

Your gauges look spot on i thought,is it for a clio or universal holder?

Yeah put the cooler black, dont think it would of looked right being silver has the front ends all colour coded, keeps it a bit of a sleeper too

It's a universal one I'll find the link. It sits too high when you first get it so I chopped it down on a bit of an angle to tilt the gauges up a bit. Even ordered a boost gauge from America it was the only good quality one I could find that only went to 15 psi. If I had a 30 psi gauge like most seem to be id not even see the needle move with such baby boost

Was there any pictures taken? Or anyone know of any websites to find any? I want to see my questionable lines through Quary! I got it right once after copying someone the following lap when no one was in front or behind me!
Good day out though, going to miss it for the winter as the car is now having a bit of TLC and being taken off the road

Top day out at Combe, was quite suprised to see stands pretty much all of the way around the circuit.

Saw a few Clio bumps and shunts though :(
