Seriously thinking of selling up

Mainly cis Ive got very little left to do to the car, its how I want it and has been for nearly a year. Will have owned it 3 years at the start of April.

I've lowered it, got the wheels I want, got a 172 interior, got a decent install, got the outside pretty much how I want it what else is there left to do?!

Ive been thinking about on and off for a while but keep thinking I cant sell it cos I like it too much but onwards and upwards!

Any suggestions what else I could do to it or what I could sell it for and get instead for the same cash?

BTW its only a 1.4 8v so the speed (or lack of) is getting a bit boring too! Oh and the other thing is I qualify as a nurse in October and will more than double my current wages so shoul I get a stop gap car or just wait?

why not go for a 172/182??

If you're thinking about moving on to another car, it would be pointless to do anything else to it, you would just be wasting your money. My advice would be to remove your install and any other stuff, sell it separate and look to getting a Sport.

As you know I split mines before trading and made back all the money i had spent on parts but im a tight wad and got them cheap to start with , be a bit harder since you have got rid of the original seats though unless you can do a trade

Why not get a 106 GTI, can get them for 3k and when tuned will be sticking to the bumper of most hot hatches.

If you are very happy with your car, how it looks, interior, etc, why don't you drop a 172 engine in there, and be a sleeper?

Thats what i would do. You seem happy enough with it, but the lack of speed is frustrating, instead of selling up, just drop a 2.0L lump in there.

I know exactly how you feel John, I've decided not to do anything else to mine (bar clear side repeaters lol) and have started saving for something newer and faster. Trying to get the girlfriend to keep POW as well tho for sentimental reasons and it's been a great wee car
