service light

hi there i got my 172 serviced the other week but got it done before it was due so now iv reached the right service milage the service light has come on and i dont have th foggiest how to turn it off. It has come on in conjunction with the air bag light. iv read elsewhere that that may just be a loose conection so not to worried about that but if you guys or girls know how to turn it off it would be great.

The service light comes on in conjunction with other faults and not when the car is due for servicing.
Your fault may be something to do with the connections under the front seats

can i just just say that im not a regular user of this site but every time i have used it iv had a quick reliable responce.

It could be that or the fact that the tech. who serviced the car hasnt re-set the service light indicator!

I found my service light came on when my oil level had dropped, have you checked the oil recently?

i went out at lunch and gave the cables a wee jiggle around and the light seems to have gone out so fingers crossed that is the problem sorted.



although i just about passed out with the heat when i opened the doors, i dont know where everyone else is but im in edinburgh and its bloody roasting.

full leather + excessive heat = burny burny!
