Service!!!

Been offered another clio 172 like mine its on a 53 plate in black. Can't remember off the top of my head but its on around 40k miles.

The price is really good and room for some profit. Only problem the last owner didn't take it for its service 36k. Am I right in thinking that because it missed this, the warranty is now void? Would getting service now mean that it has a warranty again?

Just that selling with a warranty would be much better.

You would be correct mate. There is a 1000 mile tolerance on servicing as a general rule.

Thought as much. Might see if my dad can have a word. He knows most of the guys in my local Dealer through being in the trade. I will have to do some figures on whether its worth getting the service done. The 36k service is the dear one isn't it.

Yup it is, for no real reason other than an aux belt change. Get to see some stupid quotes on here.

At the end of the day though, its relative. If your engine goes pop then yeah - warranty would probably not cover it. BUT... if your rear suspension broke then I'd argue the toss. Afterall, its not a servicable component.

The car would be sold on asap so don't care if it pops afterwards.

tbh, there is little that is covered by the last 6months of the warrantly. Id get it serviced, cant see it affecting the value too much as the warranty will end around september time.

I will price it all up. Think the warranty runs out around December
