Hi all

My 182 has done 31,500 miles and was last serviced in August 2007, before I bought it, at 23k. The Renno book says it's next due at 36k or two years, whichever is reached first.

Just wondering what you all think about the regularity of oil changes with this engine? Is it "OK" to go almost two years without an oil change? Don't know when I'll reach 36k but it won't be for a while yet!!

some people change their oil every few 000 miles..

Two years is a bit too much, it really depends on how you drive and how's the engine working and the type of oil that they used on the last change.

5k miles is the average on regular oils and 7.5k or 10k miles on synthetic oil. I personally change it every 6k miles and use semi-sinthetic Elf oil...

get the oil+ filter from halfords or opieoil and pay a kwickfit guy a tenner (sunday is best) to do it
