Shaking Speedo

Below about 40mph the speedo in my mk1 clio shakes like mad making it hard to work out how fast I am going when near speed cameras . Above 40mph it evens out, is there anyway to fix it?

Somebody mentioned this today at the Warrington meet, Winston said that you have to re-earth it or something like that.

Something needs greasing but, I can't remember what (useful I know!) It's a pain in the ass job, so you'd be better off just leaving it imo.

I was always under the impression it was the cable.

you need a new cable had the same thing on mine. it shakes because the cable sticks inside the its cover you can only get ones that fit properly from renault and thay are about £60!!!!!

my mk1 had it. new speedo cable fixed it as good as new.
