Shift Light fitting

I've got a shift light to fit, and the instructions say it needs to go to the pulse to the rev counter. Does anyone know what colour wire it is in the plug to the rev counter!

Thats of course if it can be fitted to a mk1 clio this way..? or will it need to run off the coil?

There are 2 wires going to the rev counter, not sure whihc is the one you want, what i woudl do is pick one and try it, if it doens't work, try the other, shoudl be able to get teh light to work when idling, esp if you set like a 3k limit.

Out of interest how much did it cost and where did you get it from, is it just a light wiht a variable resistor for the limit?

The Omex has a shift light built in, its the blue and yellow wire i left on, its alraedy programmed to provide you with a shift flase 500rpm below the limiter.

No need to tap the tach.

I could do wiht a shift light, often can't actually see the rev counter when on track, and my arms get in teh way, and i've hit the limiter a few times, sorta f***s up your speed, lol

Ben, i thought it might but wasnt sure!

so can i wire this shift light up to it with its single wire for rpm pulse?? or should i just wire a single light up to those wires? Where are the these wires mate?

if poss id rather use this one as its a sequential jobbie, with about 4 lights in green, amber then 2 reds!

you set it up at 4krpm, then choose the intervals the lights come on up to the full shift flash!

danny, iv not put it anywhere yet, but i think its goin on the dash under the rev counter as its only thin and fits spot on!

Adam, worth a search as I was asking the same question a short while back.
Don't yet have the car so haven't attempted the install myself yet.

Omex tech support are quite good, so might be worth dropping them an email too.
