side repeaters "mot/law question"

  182 Cup/Mk5 Gti
im thinking about plastic filling my repeater holes in my wings. i looked on google and carnt see any definate answer. might just be me not looking hard enough.

so if i was to plastic fill my hole would it be ok to pass an mot? if its not there i suppose it carnt fail. but i dont know wether phase 1 headlamps would show enough on the side to get away with it?

has anybody had any experience with mot's?

Yeah unless you are friendly with the mot`er it will fail.

I have heard of some people that just stuck the wires to the wings for the mot and they passed but once again friendly mot`er

i know a friendly mot'er ;)

what about the police though, say if they pulled you over would they think were are his/her side repeaters?

i want the car to be as "cleaned" as possiable. the car itself has only just been mot'd but i just want to have abit of ammo if the police pull me over

I dont think the police would even notice to be honest. My experience is with VWs and most people that remove them normally just relocate them to either the headlighs or mirrors. Mot will be the toughest part.

Just run some small orange leds round the edge of the mirror. You wont even be able to see them untill the indicators are on. Dont properly it wont look to chavie.

my old astra had smoothed front wings and never had any troubles with the old bill for not having side repeaters. didnt have it long enough to mot it tho!
