*sigh* another warning light on the dash

  BMW 120i Sport

Dropped the car off at Renault this morn to get the central locking fixed on the 182, fixed in an hour - great!

Got in the car turned the engine on, the exhaust gas warning light is now on. Fcking great, another trip to Renault to get it fixed.

Wonder if its related to the car being flooded with fuel after the coolant temp sensor failed? or maybe the lambda sensor has gone? (did a quick search, this has happened to someone).

Passenger side door wasnt locking/unlocking, according to Renault it was simply some plug had disconnected inside the door.

Is it wise to drive with the exhaust gas light on? The car is running absolutely fine, no performance degredation at all.

naah you prolly just have a knackered lambda sensor or something thats giving false readings to the ecu. I have a decat on my 172 and the fume warning lights been on since the summer hehehe

  Shhh

If you unsure, i would ring the AA and get them to come take a look. They will tell you if it is ok or now, then if it blows up you can say that they said it was ok to drive

Thats what renault pay them for..

Pain in the arse innit John, I suspect itll be a wonky sensor or something because the performance and running of the car hasnt changed at all.

Its nothing too serious, just a couple of niggling faults. Its more the inconvenience of getting it back to Renault.

Could have been worse, my siss Type R was 6 months old when it cracked the cylinder head - was with Honda for five weeks to have an engine rebuild.

Crazy stuff happens to these Jap mobiles too, makes me feel a little bit better ;)
