Silenced decat

Anyone got the Ktec one? How much quieter is it than the normal decat?

Also how is it quieter, just the outer sleeve or something inside the pipe as well?

yeah got one on my 16v. Its basically just a straight through silencer. So i guess its a fair bit quiter than just a strigtht through one.

You guys sticking silencers where your cats were? I just replaced with straight thru pipe...wasnt any louder...

I was just wondering because if they had put holes in the pipe or put a star inside to quiet in, then chances are it wouldnt flow as well as a normal decat.

Not sure whether to spend the extra and get the silenced one.

Both perform exactly the same.

Its just the silenced one has a silencer on it with sound deading stuff inside it, therefore making it slightly quieter (dont know by how much). Makes no difference to the flow of exhaust gases.

ive had both and their aint a great deal of difference noise wise to be fair.
