No one will have one yet as they have only just started building them. As for the look, its the same colour as currently available on the 172. Has any one got a 172 in Iceberg with Turinis ?

Why do Renault make a special edition car, use this as the selling point, then make it not so special so quickly by adding other colours/features to it?

Do any cup owners feel this way?? Same goes for the mark 1 172 and V6 "Its the best yet.....except now youve bought one we lied, its not, but the new and improved blah blah blah" Give em a year or so and itll be "actualy the last was crap to, but the mark 3!" Im all for progress but this is getting anoying....

I completley agree with viv J! I was one of the frist Cup owners or so I was told and a key selling point was the colour and the optional extras (but thats a different matter totaly) just seem reno want to line there pockets and dont give a damn who they upset!

This will make me think hard about buying another!!! However, I do love my Cup.

I agree that Reno should have kept it to just the blue, however i also think that the silver looks good.

If people think that its a 172 with fancy wheels then who cares! Ill be safe in the knowledge that me driving, and enthusiasts like us, will know what it really is, and thats all that really matters.

Am in the UK, south east, though im holding out for a September delivery (53 plate). Its gonna have Climate as well *prepares for the backlash* Ordering today/tomorrow so i get a car assigned to me. Best mate is a Reno salesman hes advised to order so far in advance.

What are the performance figures for the new silver cup? If its got aircon it will be the same as a normal 172?? So what are they trying to achieve? I think theyre a bit mental at Reno?? I expect theyll put abs on it as well -for safety purposes - lmfao!!!

I think the idea is that all 172s will be a basic cup, and then you can add optional extras, as much as you want...so in the long run a 172 as it is today will be a cup with all the extras.....possibly?

I agree it looks good, but at least they could have used a different silver. I didnt know it was in available in silver and wasnt told when I went to get a price on one from Renault. It will take a long time before people know that youre actually driving a cup and not a 172 with different wheels.

I think the idea behind this is that Renault have seen the Cup out sell the "normal" 172. It was rumored that they were going to stop making the normal 172 and only build the Cup and offer the equipment you get on the normal 172 as optional extras.

Its been released in France and is called the Renault Sport RS PS2 - its a collaberation with Renault and Playstation similar to the Billabiong and MTV specials - not coming over here I dont think! May be wrong though! It has ABS but not the leather seats etc

Dont think any1 should be upset about the silver option. Gives more choice and the cup isnt really a collectors car, just a very good priced sports car.

Id go for the silver if I could afford one.

Its like the williams and 16vs really I guess. So many 16vs in blue. But its the best colour by far!!! hehe

cup blue is gorgeous but i Think if they did a 172 in the cup colour id go for that myself as the seats are a lot nicer etc.
