Just bought some and havnt got a clue how to fit them or anyone to do it for me

Rather than having to go and show myself up and ask at a garage I though I would do a bit of begging on here to see if there was anyone kind hearted enough in Warrington/surrounding area that would fit them for me please ??? :D

Any help or advice would be very welcome

Thanks

Maz

very easy to fit, rear ones unscrew light unit from behind, unclip light holder from unit, couple of clips, then just twist until their out, front ones just locate holder and twist them out

LOL, vinny, you obviously havent been near a 182 with them, they are VERY fiddly to do, you will lose loads of skin and want to slash your wrists by the end of it, not a lot of space down there because of all the aircon etc.

Plus if you drop one into the engine bay, oh dear, im sure someone will help though Mazza, im just a little too far away.

I got my bulbs off e-bay with the help and guidance of cli0 172, thanks for your help again fella :D

Austin - thanks for the compliment (I think it was anyway ), I see your not offering to help me though , FPMSL

Honestlt its not too bad a job, the rears will take 5 minutes, fronts a bit longer because theyre awkward.

For really awkward you want to try doing the sidelight bulbs - thats the real killer.

Ive got the hang of it now. I must have done it at least 5 times. I did rush getting them out of the 182 though and burnt my hand on the engine.

Id happily fit them for you. Im just a quick trip down the M6 I think.

do you have to take the lights out ?

On the front you just take the rubber cover off the back. The hardest part is getting your arm down between the aircon pipes.

Can I ask some really dumb questions...

Do these flash clear ??

Are they legal ??

Will I have to change them back for MOT ??

they flash orange still and they are legal and you dont need to change them back for the mot :D

Theyre a bit like mirror sun glasses. Mirror finish on outside so look silver but they let light through from the inside and flash amber when lit up. If youve got some descent ones (phillips etc) theyll be fine for MOT etc Mazza.

Dead easy to fit. Rears are easy as pie, fronts slightly awkward to get your hand round to fit them as you cant take the unit out like the rears.

Why not have a go first? Its all self explanatory when you try.

Got it in one mate...

I would love to know how to do it myself but:

a) I am totally stupid when it comes to anything like this, just manage to change a light bulb..

b) I dont want to burn myself or anything cause I dont know what I am doing.

and

c) well I wont go into that LOL

:D
