Those of you into your trackdays probably see Silverstone pop up, and you'd be right in thinking some of their days are quite pricey. These seem to attract a certain clientele, and if I know there's one on I've started trying to pop in for a good look around. There are usually some quite exotic things being driven properly on track, and a nice atmosphere where owners don't mind you having a nose around and chatting about the cars.
This Sunday in particular, there was also a Porsche club auction going on upstairs. This meant a bigger turnout of awesome stuff than usual. On top of this, our friend Harry had the day with a pretty serious Caterham 620r. He's quite a tasty driver (not that I like paying another man a compliment), and invited me out for a passenger lap. I'm pretty sure most of my internal organs still havent returned to their original place. A truly mind-bending mix of ludicrous acceleration, and endless grip (well, apart from one spin, but it is a 311bhp Caterham for gods sake).
Anyway, pictures....
First signs were good. This chap bought a couple of his cars a long.

But the paddock area was overrun mainly by Porsches, which I didn't mind one bit...

It was also handy that Luke knew Max, or @Maxige78 on instagram. The owner of this lovely 993 GT2. It meant we could have a good look about what is probably my favourite Porsche, and I love my Porsches. But, alas, never meet your heroes. I'm too tall to fit in it.

So yeah, it was quite a nice day. I'm now going to sleep, in the vein hope when I wake up the Caterham damage will be undone.
Thanks for looking! As ever, more on my Flickr. And follow me on instagram @JasonEaston for various gash iPhone photos, and some of the stuff you've already seen on Flickr.
