[Final Maxim]

anyone on it? just ordered the top package with sky tv and it works out only 20 quid a month more than with our BT package.

but for extra 20 quid we get sky tv, 16 meg line instead of bt's 2meg and free installation, box etc.

just wondered what the broadband was like as our bt is piss poor, we get so much downtime everyday where our connection drops to like 56k speed and sometimes completely drops off

Same here, got the full £10 a month, speeds obly 3meg though due to distance and line quality, get the odd drop out of service but nothing major, have read sky are investing a few billion setting this up!!

i've had it for 4 months now. tbh i wish i'd not bothered.

Signed up for the max package, had numerous line speed issues, having to reboot the router 5/6 times every day. logged 8 support calls, they promised to call me back each time - never did.

The "8 meg" line i was promised was only actually 4 meg, due to the local exchange, since the lines been capped at 4 meg its been a lot more stable.

I have been with Sky Broadband for the last three months after changing from Bt. I am on the connect package at £17 a month but soon the mid and max packages will soon be in my area and the price will drop to £10 whilst keeping the same speed etc.
Good customer service as well
