Sky+ cool feature

I've had sky+ for about 2 1/2 years now and I'd tried the record from your mobile feature on a Nokia n70, which worked really well. You actually get to view the normal sky menus from the phone, which is cool! However the send a text message service from a mobile is very hit and miss from my experience.

On Saturday I forgot to record the lunchtime game on skysports, I went to the sksports tv schedule planner online from my office computer to find out kick off time. When you click on most programmes theres a little button that allows you to tell your sky+ to record the programme. It works perfectly! I'm very impressed with it!

Just thought I'd let anyone else that didn't know about it, know.

i have to say, i'm not using sky+ as much as i thought i would. mainly because i switch every off at the mains when i leave the house and overnight. kind of defeats the object really!

Is that for a safety reason or to save eleccy?

The sky+ box uses next to nothing when on standby and usually receives it's updates overnight.

both really. all the AV stuff is on the same 6 gang plug, i just flick the switch off at the wall every night

Been meaning to set this up but always forget. There's been a number of times I've seen something I want to record and not been able to

Same here Ian. All my shizzle goes off at night and doesnt come on until the next day in the evening when its going to be watched.

Hence have fallen foul of Sky + recording not working LOL
