Sky experts - need a twin LNB!!!

Right, we have sky+ in our flat, but we have to use the communal dish and only have one sky plug.

Therefore, when we use sky+ amd want to record, we have to be on that channel.

I have heard that a twin LNB will provide 2 separate feeds, but no idea what makes are any good!!

Anyone any idea?

Are you going to climb up to the "communal" dish and swap the LNB's over??!?!?

I'm sure someone might have something to say about that.

lol

If it's a communal setup they'll have distribution blocks in the lofts. You'll need a second feed from this (assuming there's a spare feed) into your property.

Most satellite fitters will do this for about £90.

Ah - think I have seen such a block in the hallway cuboard - has numerous feeds from it... maybe I should just forget the rules and put a dish up - the polish people have a huge white dish next door!!!

Nope wont work you will prob have 4 leads out from the current LNB and this is not just a quad LNB it will be a quatrro... If you mess with the communal dish you will be in deep $$$$

You can put another dish up that is about all dont try to attach it etc it wont work...

dont also assume there are extra outputs on the multi switch and you are allowed to wire from this to your house
