Slim line fan

Just wonder if I could hook a slim line fan upto the original wiring and it work ok?

Why, they're usually inferior to a stock setup as they don't have any ducting or fan shroud.

Yep, no reason why it wouldn't work on the original wiring. It just needs power to run..

Fan shroud makes an incredible difference make no mistake.
Unless the Clio one is a totally toss design??

Most people rip the OE stuff out, slap on two slim-line ones and then wonder why they activate so often in traffic - they can't do the job as well as the OE stuff.

@Chambers_RS this is correct what he's saying.
The original fan is a pull type, so the shroud helps the fan to pull all the air through the rad.

Might be for clearance issues to get some extra pipework in the engine bay?
That's why I've fitted them in the past.

Exactly why! And it's not really a car that's gunna be sat in traffic.
