Small dent on front and distorted bonnet

Basically i'm fed up with my bonnet looking the way it does. The edges are riding up above the front wings. and there's a small dent in the front which i mostly knocked out. from the dent, looks like the car went into a post.

i was thinking of putting a block of wood on top of the engine and gently teasing the edges down, or even adjusting the bonnet catch down or something?
