Small Problem

This is probably something really silly! But since changind my rocker cover and gasket, my car sometimes cuts out or nearly cuts out when the revs drop down. For example wen u rev it and let the revs drop back to normal the dash lights flicker and it nearly cuts out but sometimes it doesnt.

This is probaly a really silly thing but im unsure of what it is. Any ideas?

Vacuum pipe not been put back properly?
try cleaning the Idle control valve.

may be the CTS, how well does it start when its hot?

Errrrrr, ok bin in and out off it all day. didnt seem to have a problem, did at the weekend though sounded rather ruff wen startin hot had too rev it a little to stop it from cutting out whats te CTS??

sounds like the CTS is on its way out. if ive got a good one, i'll stick it in the head for you.

coolant temp sensor, tells the ECU what the coolant temp is to enrichen the mixture if its cold, but when they pack up they think its 120 odd degrees and make it lean as feck!

I changed this not long ago dan, is this the white one that sticks out the side of the block?? If so i did change it a while back, or os it the brown one that stick out the top??

Sorted! One of the vacuum hoses had come away from the inlet manifold. Seems to be ok now but to add insult to injury sounds like one of the rear wheels bearings is on its way!

Right turns out its nto sorted its beter now the vacuum hose is on properly but still idling low an wen the revs drop and lights flicker on dash also seems the water temperature seems a bit higher than usual. I change the coolant temp censor a while back but it was a euro car parts job, Could it be a faulty part and would i be beter off with one from renault?
