small sub?

So I have my front components (running from amp) in and relocated the cheap but better than standard FLI items that were in the front to the back (running from the headunit). I've played around with levels and various settings on my Sony head unit and I'm almost at a stage where I'm happy with it with RBE switched on (plays mostly lows through rear speakers) for the little extra depth provided in the lower frequencies.

That said, I much prefer non-bassy stuff with RBE switched off - you get a much better "sound stage" with the rears operating normally.

I think a sub is the way forward but I don't want anything big and heavy, and I do not want to lose any boot space really. I don't want to spend a lot of money either, if it can be helped?

So what is the solution?

small under seat subs? i was going to put them in my car just never got round to it as i already have a vibe one in the back

I'd like to see if someone's actually managed to fit one under the Clio seats.

The slim line Rockford fosgate ones are very good.

I'd much rather find something as a package than messing around buying a sub and then finding/building an enclosure.

Dump the fli's in the back, replace them with amp'd up 6.5" midbass drivers.

Get some in-line filters to cut off the top-end to them, and you've got almost-subs.... which is as good as the underseat jobbies you're looking at.
