I had one for a couple of years but sold it in the end. It was good but its just too much equipment to be practical really. In the end I wired it in properly, GPS aerial in the sunroof with the wiring running all out of sight, radar detector in the front grille, power wired in under the dash etc. But even with all that, it you couldnt really see the screen very well, the backlighting wasnt great, the digits/letters were too small to quickly read when you got an alert.
Yes it did work really well, but even with regular updates it would often give false GPS alarms, from where previous roadworks had been and they hadnt taken the temporary speed cameras off the list. I guess this fault would apply to all Snooper products.
Personally I wouldnt bother. I find that nowadays, any driver worth their salt can predict where speed cameras will appear even if they dont know the area, radar/laser coverage is useful for detecting mobile units, but without a doubt they will find a way to outlaw this anyway. So assuming that you can detect speed cameras and mobile traps with your own eyes, all you really need is a laser jammer.
