so annoyed

really pissed of with my clio these days everytime i fix one thing somethink else decides to breake after the last run o ut with my mate in her the back drums started to bind and fixed this over the last week with all new shoes so my mate and me went out yesterday and coverd 116 miles and all the problems and cluncks have gone and was really happy as well as doing the shoes changed bk to my standerd shocks running 60mm apex springs and to be honest it aint to bumpy and handles quite well even in the wet then comming along started to hear a dodgy noise which sounds like was coming from the rear so told me mate slow down and befor he could it got really loaud and bad so we pulled over and then clunk boom got out and looked at the back seeing if sumthink had gone wrong with the back hub again then turn to notice the car sitting on the deck at the front and my wheels to be wedged in the front arce bending my wing and snapping all the clips on the wing lucky enuff we found 3 of the wheels bolts (1 been my locker) after a call to the aa who come out the reno jack could not mange to lift the car so after bout ten mins the car was jacked back up and wheels back on and drove it home on 3 bolts to now were it sits on my drive yet again
Very lucky tho no damge to the outside of the wheels just marked inside as the way the wheels was in the wing i throt it would of been fucked only thing is now the wheel from the same said has come off twice last time been a lot worse the aa guy said it bec i have not get spigrot rings on the wheels and thinks the virbrating lose but only thing is why the same side twice?? so now after this again im think im going to get the stud kit for the hubs so i have a stud to hold the wheel on then just add the bolt also were can i get the sprirgot rings from and how much am i looking?? the other thing he said the thread in the hub mite be shoot so they ant going in rite hence why its happend again but if i got the change my hubs would 172 hubs fit? so then could use the 2.0 cailpers as well?

all in all car is fixed genraly but now need a new wing but need the hole car resparying any way so guess just bit more money to chuck at it will nip out and get pics later tryed to take some last nite but were stuck in a dogy back lane with no light

thats the bitching over it was quite funny for it to happen again no1 was hurt and the car drove home fine so guess have to see the funny side last time i had the wheel go higher than the trees this time it get wedged which was lucky to :approve:

Are the wheels the wrong offset for the car then? If the wheels are coming undone literally because the wheels are spaced, then presumably it's because there's not enough of each nut threading into the hub, and you need longer bolts? I can't see why spacing them would cause "vibration". Although if it is only happening on one side, it may well be the hub threads that are faulty. Who did them up last, and did they use a torque wrench?

Although I have to admit I may not have fully understood what's happened from your post :S But I hope this helps.

did not use torque rench when did then but used a breacker bar to be honest i dont no the offset of the wheels but since they been on this has happend tiwce now same side

othe lsit goes on more head gaske gone etc been back to wer i had it from 7 times for warrenty works and all this is within the 2 years of owning the car and been off the road for a yr as lost me licene so

Hate to say it mate but a lot of this sounds like its because you aren't looking after it / modding it properly.

probblem with the wheels mayb but aprt from that the other stuff what has happend to the car has been no way my fault when it was under warrenty they fxed it every single time as they said ya ok its broke and then the rear shoes starting to bind is a common probelm so not my fault either

Ok get the spigot rings sorted that most likly the isssue your having.

Forget stud kits no need the spigot ring not being there is the issue.

You cna swop to 172 hubs you need to sort the bearings though so get yours pushed in but then you still end up with the possibly damaged same part being reused plus stock brakes are fine so why chnage.

IMO get the spigot ring then get the holes checked in the hubs if there damaged get new hubs.
