So Annoyed

  None
I have Now had 2 Mots

First One Failed On:

Brake Discs and Pads
CV Boot
Tyres
Emissions

Second One Failed On:
Horn
Windscreen Wipers
Headlights Aim To high

So annoyed with this car, puts me off Clios Altogether. Spent 800 So far in 3 months and not one Mod on the car

Brake Pads are a consumable
Brake Discs are because you didnt replace Pads
Tyres are a consumable
Windscreen Wipers are consumable
Headlight adjustment is normal servcing
Emissions is probably CAT and also a consumable, although not one that needs doing frequently

CV Boot is common fault and not too expensive
Horn - you dont say why it failed so cant comment.

So really, 2 proper faults on an 8 year old car over 2 years, cant complain at that imo

I have my MOT next week. I had a pre-MOT check at the weekend. I only need tyres, thankfully.

Cat Converter and Exhaust were replaced last month
Horn No one knows why it Wont work Fuses have been changed

Need a new one Wanna stick with clio though
Might go for the Phase 2

apart from the emissions and the headlamp aim, they are all things that you could have checked out beforehand, but, got to sympathise with people who either can't or don't have the time to be doing that as the MoT test is now a rip-off. costs about £40-£50 and, unless you know someone who is willing to bend the 'new' rules, you've got to pay the retest fee. if it doesn't go through first time these days, it can get v expensive

having a car checked before the test is more important than ever now, really

what do you mean by blocked?

Exactly what he said... it get's clogged up with dust and dirt.

Seriously, nearly everything you've listed is consumables- if you don't want to start replacing them, you may as well jump on the bus each day.

Unless I've got this wrong, the MOT was failed the first time so you went away and got those bits sorted, and then the same garage failed it on the second list?

I'd be having words as to why it wasn't all picked up in the first test if this is the case...
