My cars been in the garage for a few days as i had some lights on the dash. Turns out i had the wrong brakes on the back giving out the wrong reading. Thats sorted.

My other problem is the airbag light. Apparently its not the wire under the seat its my ecu, apparently theirs a fault on it and it cant be reset so i need a new one? just want to know if this sounds right?
if so where is the best place to purchase a new one. thank ye very much.

I'd be inclined to say they're bullshitting you about the ECU. Especially considering it would be the Controller unit under the ash tray. I'd want to see the car and have a play myself with the wires on the seats.

Pay £12 to be a member, go into the traders section, figure out which specialist is closest to you, take it to them. At least you know they won't bullshit you.
