So much want...

Wish i understood Cameras/Camera Lens's.

Need to find a website to spell it all out to me.

What is so special about this one?

  2.2 bar shed.
F1.0 aperture, basically the holes f**king huge and can potentially let a silly amount of light in. Upsides of this are excellent low light photos and potential for a VERY shallow depth of field.

Mastering that depth of field however is a tricky one.

Pretty cool photo shot on it. As you can see the blur/bookeh is amazing.

Extremely Fast!! Huge price tag. As above depth is undoubtedly tricky.

I am not sure than anybody but a collector could justify spending that much just to get f1,0 over the f1,2 though.

A mate of mine with a Nikon has three or four Nikon f1,2 lenses and the narrow DOF you can get with them is great fun. Sod paying the price they ask for them though!

I'd rather have the 1.2 or 1.4, the 1.0 is meant to be really soft and really is just a collectors item! I suppose it has it's uses, but 1/3rd of a stop over the 1.2 doesn't swing it for me. :)
