Just spent 3 hours on the Bonnet and achieved hardly any correction. Thats right 3 hours of Menz Intensive Polish and nothing. Still swirled and scratched to hell.

Its 3M Fast cut plus time i think!

I don't have any PG. On reading it seems that not even that will cut Imola red. 3M is the only way to go.

'kin hell. From reading your posts im glad iv never had to work on a bmw lol... Apparently rotary is the only way to go with BMW paint :(

I am tempted to wet sand the whole thing. I don't have the skills though. Still it'd feel good to get revenge.....

Yeah but i'm not paying someone to do it.

Just ordered 3M Fast cut and a 3M ultimate cut pad. No more clearcoat FTW!

This morning i've been using a serious 1000w industrial orbital sander.

But with the 3M gear i'll tone it down to a 450w one.

BMW paint is a curse! I swear those Germans are gettin their own back for the war! Haha! Gonna do mine this weekend, think the 1200 grit on the DA is called for. 1200, 1500, 2000 then 3000! That's alot of sanding before polishing! Will have arms like the incredible hulk!
