i need somthing that will record whats going being shown on my monitor so i can make videos of things im doing? not best description i know :S

also if its free it would be good :rasp:

Fraps. Is all I can think of at the moment, the free version only lets you record for 30 seconds and leaves a watermark at the top of the recording.

After you've recorded in FRAPS you need to run it through Windows movie make to get the file size down.

fraps only does games and video, I thought he wanted to make vids of desktop?
