So that I can try and prove to myself that I am not goin mad, the 182 and 172 are RenaultSport Clios are they not? I'm having a debate over the fact that there is also a Clio Sport.......

What does a Clio Sport look like if it exists? I'm sure it does, I'm not goin mad am I?

Mk2 Ph1 clio range had the 1.4S 8 valve and the 1.2S 16v. They had some sporty seats, some pretty nasty alloys, foglighs and some other bits.
They are clio "s" models,
some people call them sports becuase insurance companies have confused them

I think there may have been certain Dynamiques sold as 'Sport' models. Whether that's what they were officially called or not I have no idea.

The Dyanmique version of the Mk2 Ph2 was classed as the sport version by Renault, hence a Clio Sport.

A RenaultSport Clio is your 2.0 variant.

Yeah as said there are a few Sport Ph1s and the Dynamique was sold by renault as a "Sport" model too, and theres also the campus sport aswell. None of them are renaultsport clios though.

People at work call them clio sports too. I work for a car dealers and any 182/172 that comes in all the salesman call them cups. I have to explain that they're not cups without making myself sound like a geek, but it goes in one ear and out the other!

Really bugs me for some reason! I actually had an argument with my general manager because he insisted my car was a cup!

Glad I'm not the only that that really get pissed off with it! It's nothing againsts cups it just bugs me that they don't listen! My manager said to be, 'it probably is a cup, it's just quite hard to tell the difference between them all' ARGHHHH! I KNOW what the differences are ffs!!

My thoughts exactly. The 2.0l Mk4(?) Golf GTi is terrible. Anyone know the power to weight ratio? Must be like 75bhp/ton surely? My 1.2 dynamique was not far off that...
