Some help needed

Trying to set up a Hp printer on my gf's Advent laptop. The printer is wireless, but having some issues finding it? The wireless is enabled on the printer and laptop, strangely i can see the printer when i view connect to a network (its with the routers?), but when i do a 'add new network', it can see it? I'm a computer r****d mind, any pointers?

HP are normally one of the easiest printers to setup, but you really do add an extra layer of complexity with wireless.

I suspect (and only talking from the previous issue I've had with HP wireless printing here) - if the fact that the printer's wireless network card is not obtaining a lease from the router for its network address. I recall that the HP software for the wireless kind of contradicted itself - the text used seemingly doing the opposite of what was required. However, the latest version is available here....

The other (unlikely) aspect will be that the laptop is running Windows XP Service Pack 2. In Service Pack 3, they added additional wireless protocols such as WPA2, etc that could then be supported and used. That can be nabbed from here....
