WOW!!! What camera do you have?? They are so crisp. Did you use a tripod?? Great Pics. I want to get half as good as you!

My main workhorse is a Canon EOS 1D Mark 2 + Canon 300mm f/4 L

I don't use a tripod, i find for wildlife unless the subject is captive they tend to be unpredictable, i take my shots handheld or use a beanbag so i can move quickly.

What camera do you use, or are looking at getting?

Id say they werent cropped at all, using my 200mm F4 with 2x EF extender i can get some cracking shots at range...

Thanks guys, Yes they have a small crop but its to make the image cleaner... i've cropped out part of another perch which spoilt the background tbh!

Im after a 1.4xtc for my 300 though, i would use the 2x but IQ suffers too much.

lol planetx i always find a kingfisher, summer was the best. Found a full family of 3 of them in one spot!
