There was a story once about this chap (a Sierra Cosworth owner I think)who was so fed up with people attempting to steal his car that he wired up his battery so that anyone who touched the bodywork got a nasty electric shock. Turn's out some car thief managed to successfully sue him for damages, but personally I think he had the right idea.

Police came, took statement etc. Tapes being checked tommorrow, phoned Pinewood (secruity compnay) unfotunatly the car was parked too far away from the sensors so the alarm didnt go off down at pinewood head office, so no one seen them do what they did.

Gutted, hopefully the tapes may pick someone up, not holdong my breath though

This kind of thing makes me sick! I used to regularly get my first car being vandalised and it was broken into twice. I basically knew who it was, but I couldn't prove it.:dapprove: I had no idea why him and his mates were doing it, but when he moved away, it stopped. Funny that! I would definatly keep it if I was in your position but I know how you feel as these things never are the same again.

It would be nice to repair it but, the cost of the damage from the break in + what was already wrong with it + replacing what was stolen isnt teh best option, finically. At the moment its all about money.

If i can break the turbo and sell my Uno and all the other bits i have collected over the years then i will be able to get back out there with somthing newer and better.

Its a sad day, but i need to use the head and stop letting my heart make the decisions.

Although I stil say repair the door, put the exhaust back on and gradually build it back up. It's a complete one-off fella, It'd be a real shame to waste it......
