Sorry i've started another thread to just to ask for a solution to my prob, am really grateful for all the help though...
Just wondering if anyone else has a Sony MEX-BT4700U head unit in a mk2ph2 clio? I got it a few months ago with the plan to buy the adapter from halfords for connecting it to the steering wheel controls on the stalk, all great until i finally get around to buying the adapter from halfords, picked up the correct one went to the till and was asked by the bloke which of the cars its suitable for was i putting it in, told him and was told that they were not allowed to fit it in my car because connecting it would set off the airbags... was very dubious at this comment but said i wasn't gonna be getting them to fit it anyway coz i'd do it myself, anyway he still said i'd set the air bags off, so i left it.
So has anyone else got it (or another sony with 4S steering wheel connectivity) connected?
i'm slightly suspicious that they just didn't want to fit it or something, because i can't see why the airbags and the head units would be connected, and though being female i'd just accept it (I've had this happen numerous times in the computer industry, when i usually know alot more than they do!) or something, seeing as he jumped to the conclusion they'd be fitting it and then carried on the story when i said i'd do it myself anyway.
