Ive canceled my insurance and i am wondering will the car need to be declared off the road the cars still taxed until next year and MOT'd also.

So does it?

Do you plan to keep the car off the road? I think you only need to declare sorn when you next renew your tax or decide to claim money back from tax. Not 100% on that

Sorry to hijack.

The tax on my cup is due at the end of the month but the car isnt insured and has been off the road for the past few weeks. Guessing I'll need to declare it SORN?

Declare the car SORN to be on the safe side, then fill in an E14 form from Post Office section 8 line 5 to get a refund for the remaining months.
