Can self adhesive lead flashing be used the same way dynamat is used? Is it all really necessary? Im asking because the flashing is alot cheaper than dynamat.

  1995 Mondeo Speed Machine

Yep, thatll do the job. Youll need to use a few layers of it tho. Itll never be as good as the Dynamat extreme, but its certainly a fair alternative to the regular Dynamat IMO.

Is dynamat really worth it?? Ive jus brought 2 rolls of dynamat extreme for my boot install next week and im jus thinking whether ive made a wise investment?!

anybody tryed brown bread cos i saw a web site where they tested dynamat original, extreme and brown bread and brown bread was almost as good as extreme but same price as original:confused:

Glad I clicked on that link, I thought you meant actual brown bread , which would be very cheap.

dink - brown bread is a very poor quality option, best to pay for the quality you will get with dynamat

we sell loads of BB, but everyone comes back saying they want more, as its not as effiecient as they expected

  Polo + Micra

lmao at levo i thought exacly the same when i first saw it;)

cheers bambam i was thinking about buying some aswell ill have to raid the copper jar to get some extreme

On a related topic, if i was building a boot install where would i Dynamat? The whoel boot or just around the speakers?

if you can afford it the whole car with 2 layers (or more)

if not best bet is to do the whole boot and boot lid, and front doors

my cars got they dynamat extreme, in doors roof boot, bonnet liner and floor liner, bout £800.00 worth, but it does make the metal work solid. bloody good stuff, but bloody expensive. they only problem i find with it is wear gloves if you cut it cos itll cut you! oh and its flamin heavy.

  Mk2 Golf GTI

think ill just ,ahem, borrow some from work! They use something similar on the Jaguar doors but its not as thick as dynamat

anyone got any pictures of what parts of the boot they have dynamatted? Where would i put dynamatt to stop my side bump strips from ratteling when the bass kicks?
